Overview

Our long-term client relationship with NASA has led to a need for a Project Coordinator on the Consolidated Program Support Services (CPSS) Project Coordination (PC) contract at George C. Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) (Huntsville, AL).

 

CPSS PC Contract provides mission service Project Coordination support for MSFC including work performed at the NASA Space Science and Technology Center and Michoud Assembly Facility; with an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) component to provide additional PC support services to MSFC and other NASA Centers, including Component Facilities and Technical & Service Support Centers.

Barrios Technology is the prime contractor for the Human Space Flight Technical Integration (HSFTIC) contract, Consolidated Program Support Services (CPSS) Project Coordination (PC) and Research, Engineering, Mission Integration Services (REMIS) contracts along with subcontractor support to multiple prime contractors as listed below.  Barrios employees have the opportunity to contribute to the US Space Program through work on the International Space Station (ISS), Orion, Space Launch System and Exploration programs.  Our primary locations are at NASA’s Johnson Space Center (JSC) in Houston, TX and the Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) in Huntsville, AL.  We also support commercial space programs and provide systems engineering services to the oil and gas industry. Our customers include:

  • Boeing on the Boeing Engineering and Technical Services (BETS) contract at JSC and MSFC
  • Jacobs Technology on the JSC Engineering and Technical Services (JETS) contract at JSC
  • COLSA Corporation on the Huntsville Operations Support Center (HOSC) contract at MSFC
  • Rothe Development, Inc. on the Joint Operations, Integrated Systems Technology (JOIST) contract at JSC
  • Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) Commercial Resupply Services 2 (CRS2) contract in Colorado and Houston

Responsibilities

Project Coordinator (PC) responsibilities include a multitude of efforts necessary to support the program management team.  Each PC job includes a unique combination of the tasks listed below throughout the period of performance.  A PCs role is very fluid based on program needs and can bloom into the best job you have ever had. 

 

The Project Coordinator will:

 

  • Provide strong communication and coordination capabilities with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Gather data, manage storage, and distribution.
  • Maintain master calendar for project timelines and perform tasks that support project lifecycles.
  • Support presentation and data package development utilizing advanced PowerPoint capabilities.
  • Provide meeting support to include scheduling, logistics, setup, integration of presentation materials, and real-time meeting support.
  • Track Program data to include action items, safety metrics, data package deliverables.
  • Support Event Planning to include on-site and off-site technically oriented meetings, programmatic reviews, working groups, panels and boards.
  • Ensure compliance and perform quality checks to ensure information and data is consistent with policies, standardized formats, and export control requirements.
  • Perform Building and Safety Support.
  • Perform Organizational IT Manager functions including maintaining IT inventory, managing IT service requests, IT service/product purchases and knowledge of NASA’s IT policies and procedures.
  • Provide Space Act Agreement support to all phases of SAAs and EULs from identification of new agreements to closeout of executed agreements.
  • Perform all other assigned duties.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

 

 

  • AS/AA degree in the appropriate discipline from an accredited college or university.

  • AS/AA degree in the appropriate discipline from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of applicable experience.

-or -

  • BS/BA degree in the appropriate discipline from an accredited college or university.

-or -

  • BS/BA degree in the appropriate discipline from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of applicable experience.

-or -

  • BS/BA degree in the appropriate discipline from an accredited college or university and ten (10) years of applicable experience.

 

  • Experience with Microsoft Suite to include Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Ability to utilize meeting tools such as TEAMS, Skype, Zoom
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint
  • Strong Communication and Coordination capabilities with internal and external stakeholders

 

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.
  • Applicant selected may be subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Work may involve sitting for extended periods.
  • May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lb.
  • Must have sufficient mobility to enter areas of test facilities where necessary.
  • Generally an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
  • Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, fax, etc.)
  • Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical.
  • Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.
  • Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.
  • Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
  • This position may require some commuting and traveling to other installations as needed.
