Overview

Our long-term client relationship with NASA has led to a need for a Project Integration/Export Control Coordinator on the Human Space Flight Technical Integration (HSFTIC) contract at Glenn Research Center (Cleveland, OH).

 

Barrios is looking for an individual with experience in Technical Project Integration and Coordination to join our team supporting the Gateway Program on the Human Spaceflight Technical Integration Contract at the Glenn Research Center.

Our primary government work is with NASA and is conducted at the Johnson Space Center (JSC) in Houston, TX and the Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) in Huntsville, AL.  Barrios employees make significant contributions to our nation’s space program by providing expertise that advances our presence in low Earth orbit and lays the groundwork for future missions to the Moon through our work on the International Space Station, Orion, Gateway, and Space Launch System.  Barrios employees are also actively participating in the growth of the commercial spaceflight industry through partnerships with Sierra Space, Dynetics, Northrup-Grumman, and Intuitive Machines. 

Responsibilities

** We are actively searching for qualified candidates for this potential opening, however we do not have assurance at this time if and when the position will be finalized and opened. Because we have strong reason to believe the position will be approved soon, we are proceeding with identifying qualified candidates and conducting interviews.

 

The Project Integration/Export Control Coordinator will:

  • Develop and integrate project reporting products.
  • Perform monitoring and analyzing of program status.
  • Establish and maintain proficiency in business support tools to assist with integration of data for reporting and responses to actions.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to provide strategic advising to the Project Management Office for the various project reporting products.
  • Update the project plan, work breakdown Structure Dictionary Document and as needed, other Governing Documents.
  • Integrate activities through proactive collaboration with all Project Office team members by collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, through the review of documents, and interface with key individuals to identify, plan, and implement the project and program goals and objectives.
  • Participate in meetings, planning sessions and other strategic initiatives relating to the Gateway Program.
  • Support the project center Export Representative/Data Rights lead and product owners.
  • Initial screening of data products for presenting, sharing, or transferring outside the project
  • Update and/or correct product markings as appropriate.
  • Update process documentation including Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) Guidance documentation as appropriate.

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in the appropriate discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of progressive and relevant experience; or any equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

- OR -

  • Bachelor's Degree in the appropriate discipline from an accredited college or university, plus ten (10) years of progressive and relevant experience; or any equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral communications with peers, management, and customers.
  • Demonstrated self-initiative to identify problem areas and implement solutions on a task and project level.
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, team environment with a short turnaround time.

Preferences:

  • BS/BA degree in science, engineering, math or technical degree a plus.
  • Experience supporting large complex aerospace programs a plus.
  • Experience with leading a project or experience with self-starting or self-leading (in professional career) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) policies and markings system.
  • Have general knowledge about Export Administration Regulations, International Traffic and Arms Regulations, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) rights in Data (Limited Rights Data, Restricted Rights Software, Unlimited Rights, and tailored data rights).

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.

  • Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical.
  • Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.
  • Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.
  • Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
  • This position may require some commuting and traveling to other installations as needed.
