Our long-term client relationship with JSC has led to a need for a Project Coordinator on the Human Space Flight Technical Integration Contract (HSFTIC) at Johnson Space Center (Houston, TX).

Responsibilities

The Project Coordinator will:

  • Provide excellent communication and coordination capabilities with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide event planning support to include on-site and off-site technically oriented meetings, programmatic reviews, and other major meetings. Support to include scheduling, logistics, setup, agenda, initial development and integration of presentation materials, minutes, and real-time meeting support.
  • Manage calendars for leadership team including setting up meeting notices, managing distribution lists, working calendar conflicts, etc.
  • Assist in development and maintenance of organization's websites and collaboration tools, maintain permissions, track required training for data access, and proper curation of organization data.
  • Support project management activities including:
    o technical team communications.
    o distribution of documents and information to appropriate audiences.
    o proactively tracking actions to ensure timely closure.
    o Tracking and updating schedules.
  • Maintain official project records and documentation, serve as project historian by documenting project milestones and accomplishments.
  • Provide innovative thinking, identify process improvement, propose solutions along with plans for implementation.
  • Perform other duties as required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: 

  • BA/BS Degree from an accredited college or university, or at least five (5) years of specialized experience.

  • BA/BS Degree from an accredited college or university or at least (10) years of specialized experience.
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be proficient in minutes taking and be able to communicate clearly and concisely to management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, & Outlook) and SharePoint.
  • Strong organization skills, attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills.
  • Demonstrated experience prioritizing multiple tasks with tight deadlines while coordinating with an internal and external network of affiliated/impacted contractors and civil servants.
  • Strong problem-solving skills including the ability to quickly resolve technical mishaps or unforeseen events in meetings to minimize meeting down time and stress.
  • Must be customer focused and can articulate and patiently instruct others (peers, managers, teammates, and customers) in relevant team processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to coherently compose and respond to email communication; creation and editing of instruction documents when needed.
  • Experience working individually and actively participating on integrated teams.

 

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • Experience with Microsoft Suite to include Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, and Microsoft Project
  • Ability to utilize meeting tools such as TEAMS, Webex, etc.
  • Experience with leading a project or event, or experience with self-starting or self-leading (in professional career) is a plus
  • Experience in document management and control

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.

  • Work may involve sitting for extended periods.
  • May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lb.

  • Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical.
  • Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.
  • Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.
  • Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
  • This position may require some commuting and traveling to other installations as needed.
