Overview

Our long-term client relationship with NASA has led to a need for a Project Integrator on the Human Space Flight Technical Integration Contract (HSFTIC) at Johnson Space Center (Houston, TX) to support NASA's new Commercial LEO Development Program (CLDP) Operations Office.

Responsibilities

The CLDP Operations Office - Project Integrator (PI) will:

 

  • Lead the resolution of technical issues internal to CLDP requiring integration across multiple disciplines or organizations on behalf of the CLDP Operations Office.
  • Represent the CLDP Operations Office at various CLDP, cross-program, and NASA Headquarters meetings and forums, and report findings and results to the Operations Manager.
  • Develop and integrate the CLDP Operations team's positions and responses for various NASA and CLDP Partner control boards and panels.
  • Integrate and coordinate with other CLDP stakeholders to provide overall integration on program technical topics and actions.
  • Coordinate the development and documentation of requirements for the CLDP Operations Office Manager.
  • Collaborate with NASA Project Executive and other Project Integrators to coordinate reviews of CLDP Program Documents and Program Milestones.
  • Attend and participate in Program meetings and Partner meetings.
  • Manage restricted data and topics per established processes and procedures.
  • Coordinate and provide meeting logistics for multiple meetings/week.
  • Develop meeting minutes, document formal actions, and coordinate to publish as required.
  • Provide early-morning and after-hours meeting support as assigned.
  • Commute and travel to other installations (NASA and Partner) as required.
  • Assist in planning and executing processes, procedures, and requirements across all CLDP offices and identify process improvements with plans for implementation and execution.
  • Actively participate in team projects.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

 REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:  

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited engineering school and at least five (5) years of applicable and progressive engineering experience.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), and the ability to integrate, coordinate, and deliver presentations to high-level management.
  • Strong working knowledge of systems engineering practices as they are related to flight operations.
  • Practical experience with innovation or process improvements projects and initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with customers and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • Applied knowledge of real-time and or flight operations working for NASA MOD/FOD or a NASA Program Office's real-time support staff.
  • 15+ years of experience working in or around NASA real-time human spaceflight operations.
  • Robust experience managing or coordinating NASA Program level documents and experience taking a document through a revision cycle.
  • A record of NASA MOD/FOD Flight Control certification, or similar experience.
  • INCOSE Certified System Engineering Professional (CSEP).
  • Project or other leadership experience, innovation or process improvement skills, and the ability to demonstrate technical understanding of complex situations and communicate to appropriate audience.

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.

  • Work may involve sitting for extended periods.
  • May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lb.
  • Must have sufficient mobility to enter areas of test facilities where necessary.

  • Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical.
  • Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.
  • Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.
  • Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
  • This position may require some commuting and traveling to other installations as needed.
