Barrios Technology has a need for a Human Resources Coordinator to join the Corporate Human Resources team located in the Clear Lake area of Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

This position is available to recent college graduates and entry-level candidates who are interested in pursuing a career in Human Resources.

 

The Human Resources Coordinator will:

  • Perform human resource administrative work and apply business and human resources knowledge to assist the Human Resources Team in maintaining and enhancing the Human Resources department.
  • Assist with day-to-day human resources support in the areas of personnel data management, talent acquisition, onboarding, compensation, benefits, training, employee recognition, employee relations, termination and exit, employment documentation, policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations.
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for employees for all HR matters and provide exceptional internal and external customer service by providing timely, accurate information in response to HR-related inquiries and/or requests.
  • Routinely monitor general HR Office email box.
  • Perform HRIS data entry including new hires, terminations, promotions, increases, etc.
  • Processes employee paperwork such as verification of employment, tuition reimbursement applications, payroll changes etc.
  • Update internal systems and portals for all HR related information.
  • Assist with employee onboarding and orientation meetings for all new hires as needed.
  • Build and run HR reports from HR systems.
  • Review documentation for accuracy prior to submittals.
  • Support and administer HR supported Employee Benefit Programs by promoting, tracking, etc.
  • HR clerical and admin work such as filing, scanning, copying, creating employee files, sending files to storage, and other items as assigned.
  • Engage in other HR activities such as training, retention, recruiting, and special projects.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Solid knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to appropriately manage confidential information.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively, while ensuring quality results and timeliness.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Act as a reliable and supportive team member.

 

Work Location:

 

  • Ideally, you will be located in the Clear Lake (Houston), TX area. That said, Barrios strives to maintain a flexible, and diverse working environment for our people. Essential Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.

  • Work may involve sitting for extended periods.
  • May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lb.
  • Must have sufficient mobility to enter areas of test facilities where necessary.
  • Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
  • Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, fax, etc.)
  • Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical.
  • Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.
  • Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.
  • Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
  • This position may require some commuting and traveling to other installations as needed.
