Responsibilities

The Senior Systems Analyst will:

 

  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into detailed technical requirements and specifications
  • System Analysis: Analyze existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions
  • Solution Design: Develop detailed system designs, workflows, and data models to support business requirements
  • Implementation Support: Coordinate and support the implementation of new systems or enhancements, including testing and troubleshooting
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system processes, configurations, and user guides
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test plans to ensure systems function as intended and meet quality standards
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between IT teams and business units to ensure clear communication and effective solutions
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and user experience
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure systems adhere to compliance standards and security protocols

 

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

 

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst or in a similar role
  • Proven experience with systems analysis, design, and implementation

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field 
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in system analysis tools and methodologies
    • Experience with SQL, databases, and ERP systems
    • Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# is an advantage.
    • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project).
  • Certifications: Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or similar certification
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation

  • Work may involve sitting for extended periods
  • May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs
  • Must have sufficient mobility to enter areas of test facilities where necessary
  • Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task
  • Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, fax, etc.)
  • Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical
  • Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required
  • Must be able to work in a team atmosphere
  • Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation
  • Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others
  • This position may require some commuting and traveling to other installations as needed
