We are seeking an Orion Cradle Administrator to support our Orion contract.

 

Responsibilities

The Orion Cradle Administrator will:

• Manage data in the Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle (MPCV) Cradle database including keeping it in sync with data in other systems
• Implement approved updates or management directives within the Cradle database
• Update the prime contractor's requirement, verification, and trace information in the MPCV Cradle database to system, subsystem, and first instantiated Component including verification trace and parent trace
• Update variances and requirement trace in MPCV Cradle
• Maintain the Requirements Closure and Verification Status
• Generate requirement closure reports and other statistical reports per predetermined schedule dictated by mission milestones
• Manage document publisher template
• Provide MPCV Cradle database administration support for the Program which includes (but not limited):
Database base-lining
o Schema definitions to support reporting and document publishing
o Answer requirement questions and address special report requests
o User account maintenance
• Participate in Cradle user acceptance tests
• Provide surge support in cross-program activities performing requirements management system administration
• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

  • BS/BA Degree in Engineering, Math, or Science from an accredited Engineering school, plus five (5) years of appropriate work experience

OR

  • BS/BA Degree in Engineering, Math, or Science from an accredited Engineering school, plus ten (10) years of appropriate work experience
  • Applied working knowledge of product life cycle development, systems engineering & integration principals associated with the definition, design, development, verification, implementation, testing, integration, and validation of complex systems
  • Excellent communication skills (in both written and verbal), integration, coordination and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with customers and stakeholders
  • Ability to independently manage multiple tasks concurrently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)

Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:

 

• Experience with innovation or process improvement projects or initiatives
• Experience with data query and scripting in MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or other enterprise databases

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation

  • Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical
  • Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required
  • Must be able to work in a team atmosphere
  • Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation
  • Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others
  • This position may require some commuting and traveling to other installations as needed
